Globe Art Point is introducing a new pilot project titled GAP WINDOW for the members of its Creatives Database! Artists and creatives of all disciplines are invited to submit their proposals for a window exhibition that will open on October 1th, the same day that the Globe Art Point association celebrates its 5th birthday.

The GAP WINDOW project, a window exhibition proposed by Globe Art Point is a new initiative created for the members of G.A.P Creatives Database with an aim to create a unique opportunity to exhibit and/or experiment with their own artistic work and ideas. The exhibition does not follow any specific theme and it can be done in various forms, from painting directly on the windows through displaying poetry, paintings, photographs, illustrations or media art.

The duration of each exhibition is one (1) month where artists will be given three (3) weeks to display and one (1) week to install/take down their work. See the exhibitions’ timetables below.

The length of the pilot project is six (6) months, however, if successful, our aim is to develop it further and in the future also incorporate a digital art space that will accompany the physical display. That means that in the piloting stage of our project, we will provide six (6) artists/creatives from our database with an opportunity to showcase their work in the windows of our office in Kamppi. In the future however, the open call will be released publicly and stricter guidelines for applicants will be put in place. There is no charge for submitting but there is also no fund for exhibiting artists for the time being. In collaboration with each selected artist, Globe Art Point will co-curate the exhibitions and provide support during the installation and deinstallation of the displayed work if needed. Furthermore, G.A.P will also take care of promotion and documentation of the exhibitions.

Your exhibition proposal must include:

  • Title and a theme for your exhibition
  • Images of your work, description of the medium, size, titles of the works, description of your work is a plus but not required
  • A short description or a press release
  • The chosen period for the exhibition

The proposals for the exhibitions will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis, however, please note that artists are responsible for obtaining insurance for their work during the exhibition. Please, send your proposals to info(at) by 5th of September if you would like to host the first exhibition otherwise, the call will be open up until all six (6) exhibition slots are filled.
The exhibition window is 2x 133 x 230 cm. There is also a black board of 107 x 270 cm for those who would like to create something for our office with a chalk paint.
