As a result of a rapidly evolving technology, the art world has been moving forward and transforming on an unprecedented scale. The hottest trends and inventions of artificial intelligence, augmented reality, quantum computers or blockchain all affected how one perceives, produces, values and even sells art these days.

Visiting Mona Lisa no longer requires painstaking planning of a trip to Paris. Attending a gig on the other side of the planet with your mates or discovering the ancient Egyptian pyramids alongside Indiana Jones is possible cheaply and easily from the comfort of your home in a matter of just a few clicks.

But what is the actual impact of digital technology on art and artists, and more specifically, how has the Metaverse affected art life as we have known it?

In this event, a journalist Ali Abaday will discuss the following topics:

  •       What is blockchain and how is it affecting the internet?
  •       What are DApps? Explaining internet 3.0 and Metaverse related to DApps.
  •       What is NFT? What is NFT mining?
  •       NFTs effect on art and why should every artist get NFT domain and meta wallet?
  •       Explaining virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) and their place in Metaverse.
  •       Internet 3.0’s effects on the environment.

This event is a hybrid organised both in person in Globe Art Point and virtually on Zoom. Please note that registration is required.
