Helsinki is so much more than just the city centre! Join the session and get to know all about the cultural houses located in the outskirts and the suburban neighbourhoods of Helsinki. In total, four cultural houses; Vuotalo, Kanneltalo, Stoa, and Malmitalo including Savoy Theatre will introduce themselves and explain what opportunities they offer to artists and creatives. Short introductions will be followed by one-on-one sessions where participants can ask questions and network with the professionals representing the cultural houses.

GAP ART SUMMIT 2022 is the first in a series of art conferences organised by Globe Art Point in collaboration with the association’s partners and stakeholders. This year’s summit has been organised together with Luckan Helsingfors and supported by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike), The Swedish Cultural Foundation in Finland and The Culture, Leisure Division of The City of Helsinki.

 

Participating cultural houses:

KANNELTALO is a theater and concert hall located next to Kannelmäki Train Station, a 13-minute train ride from Helsinki Central Station.

MALMITALO is a lively cultural centre for anyone who loves film, music, theatre and children’s events. In addition to performances and exhibitions, the building features a library, restaurant, adult education centre, four art schools and the Koillisluotsi project steered by Youth Services.

THE SAVOY THEATRE is a guest stage for international performers in the very centre of Helsinki, next to the Esplanadi Park.

STOA is a rhythmic, spicy and vibrant cultural centre in Itäkeskus in Helsinki. Its programme is centred around dance, contemporary circus, exhibitions, different art festivals and art education for people of all ages. Stoa and the Stoa square form a cultural living room in the east of the city that is open to everyone, where residents of Helsinki can participate in making works of art and events happen.

VUOTALO is a colourful cultural centre in a lush urban setting in Vuosaari. Concerts, clubs, theatre, children’s events and films for all ages.
