Océane Bruel, (*1991, Montpellier, France) lives in Helsinki, Finland. Océane’s practice comes from the affective ecology of everyday life. Pursuing a solo practice and long-term collaboration with artist dylan ray arnold, she works with sculpture and installation, within a material-poetic approach. In recent years Océane had solo shows at La BF15, Lyon FR (2020), at Muu Kaapeli, Helsinki (2019) and AIR Sandnes (2018). Her work has been presented in various group shows, recently at Titanik in Turku, in Copenhagen at Gether Contemporary, and Chart Emerging Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Fondation Pernod Ricard in Paris, as well as in Berlin, and Mexico. With dylan ray arnold, they presented solo shows at HAM Helsinki (2020), Glassbox Paris (2019), and Titanik Turku (2017). She has been in residency at Mustarinda, Moly-Sabata, France, Cité des Arts Paris, AIR Sandnes and ALDEA in Bergen.
