Kriti Kumari

Since my childhood, I have been interested in drawing, painting, art and crafts as a hobby. Later, I earned a bachelor's degree in textile design, followed by a master's degree in ceramic and glass design. I began my professional career in India's textile sector as a graphic and print designer. However, I believe my work leans more toward the art language and expression (emotion and feelings). Hence, I am keen to explore the art field. I have an inquisitive mind and enjoy experimenting with the materials I can find locally, such as fiber, textiles, paper, clay, wood, glass, metal, and grass. Working and experimenting with various materials makes me curious to learn how it will turn out and how it might express certain feelings and emotions once put together, which is why I want to keep working as a material artist. I really wanted to expand my thinking process beyond conventional limitations by combining materials in art and craft to make a positive impact on our society with some sustainable solutions with new forms and perspectives.
