We’re excited to announce that the GAP Creatives Database is now open for new members.
Application deadline: 31 May, 2026
Membership is free
This new phase of the database marks an important moment for us. As we continue to grow, we are updating and strengthening our policies and structure to better accommodate both new and existing members. Our aim is to create a space that is more accessible, fair, and genuinely supportive, one that reflects the realities of diverse creative practices today.
The GAP Creatives Database is an open archive dedicated to supporting, highlighting, and empowering underrepresented art and culture professionals in Finland. It brings together creatives across disciplines, including artists, cultural producers, educators, and entrepreneurs.
At its core, the database exists to increase visibility for professionals who are often overlooked by traditional and mainstream platforms. We centre multiculturalism, lived experience, community-based work, and diverse creative perspectives, amplifying voices that deserve greater recognition.
Who is the database for?
We work with creatives who:
- Have experience working in multicultural environments
- Engage meaningfully with diverse communities
- Are Finnish returnees looking to reconnect after studying or working abroad
Who can apply?
You are eligible if you meet at least one of the following:
- You are a foreign-born professional currently based in Finland
- You are Finland-raised with a multicultural background
- You are a Finnish returnee who has worked or studied in the art and culture sector abroad
By joining the database, you become part of a growing network committed to building visibility, access, and inclusion within Finland’s creative landscape.
