Globe Art Point is turning 10, and we invite our members to be part of this special celebration!
To mark a decade of supporting, connecting and advocating for international creatives in Finland, GAP will host its 10th Anniversary Celebration at Botta, Helsinki, on 22 October 2026, from 17:00 to 19:00.
As part of the evening’s programme, we are looking for a diverse range of short artistic interventions that can contribute to a lively, creative and celebratory atmosphere.
What are we looking for?
We welcome proposals for 5-minute performances in a variety of formats, including:
- Music and sound performances
- Spoken word and poetry
- Stand-up comedy
- Performance art
- Dance and movement
- Storytelling
- Short theatrical interventions
- Live drawing or visual performance
- Interdisciplinary and experimental works
Your performance does not need to address the anniversary theme directly. We are particularly interested in proposals that can bring energy, creativity and enjoyment to the celebration while showcasing the diversity of artistic practices within the GAP community.
Performances should be feasible with minimal technical support and suitable for the event setting.
Selection process
In the spirit of celebration, accessibility and equality, eligible applications will be entered into a lottery draw.
The artistic content will not be evaluated competitively. As long as a proposal meets the requirements of the open call and is feasible within the event framework, it will be included in the lottery.
This means that the selection is not based on artistic ranking or competition, but on a random draw among eligible proposals.
Performance fee
Selected performers will receive a performance fee of €85.
Please note that the fee must be invoiced. Unfortunately, we are unable to process payments without an invoice.
There is no additional budget available for production costs, so proposals should be designed with minimal technical and production requirements in mind.
Who can apply?
This open call is exclusively for already accepted GAP members.
People who submit a membership application at the same time as applying for the performance opportunity, or whose GAP membership application is still pending, will not be considered eligible for this call.
Application deadline
The deadline for applications is 20 September 2026.
We encourage GAP members with a short performance, artistic idea or creative intervention that could contribute to the evening to apply.
