Moving Ecologies

Nature, Diversity, and Shared Futures

Open Call Application period: 22.6.–9.8.2026

Hanken School of Economics and Globe Art Point invite visual artists to submit works for Moving Ecologies, a group-curated exhibition presented during SDG Week in September 2026.

Through diverse artistic practices, Moving Ecologies unites artistic perspectives on how ecological and social systems depend on one another and how biodiversity and social diversity shape our future.

Exhibition duration: 21.9.2026 – 21.10.2026

About the Theme

Moving Ecologies explores the evolving relationship between nature, biodiversity, and human communities in a changing world. The exhibition aims to show how ecosystems and cultures adapt through interaction and exchange, emphasising the interconnectedness of biological and cultural diversity and their importance for future sustainability.

We welcome proposals that explore themes such as:

  • Human-Nature Relationships and Shared Belonging
  • Migration, Mobility, and Changing Ecologies
  • Environmental Justice and Social Equity
  • Climate Change and Ecological Transformation
  • Biodiversity, Social Diversity, and Interdependence

We warmly encourage approaches that are critical, poetic, imaginative, and rooted in community. Your unique perspective matters.

About the Collaboration

This exhibition is developed through a collaboration between Hanken School of Economics and Globe Art Point as part of SDG Week 2026. Together, we aim to create a platform where artistic practices can contribute to conversations on sustainability, diversity, and social transformation, while fostering encounters between artists, researchers, students, and the wider public.

We believe that artists play a vital role in imagining new ways of living together and responding to the complex challenges of our time.

We look forward to receiving your proposal.
