We’re opening the GAP Creatives Database for new members.
As we update and strengthen our policies, this new phase of the database is designed to better accommodate, support, and reflect the realities of diverse creative practices. Our goal is to continue building a space that feels accessible, fair, and genuinely supportive for everyone in our network.
The GAP Creatives Database is an open archive dedicated to supporting, highlighting, and empowering underrepresented art and culture professionals in Finland. It showcases creatives working across disciplines, including artists, cultural producers, educators, and entrepreneurs.
We focus on visibility for professionals who are often overlooked by traditional and mainstream platforms. The database centres multiculturalism, lived experience, community-based work, and diverse creative perspectives, amplifying voices that deserve to be seen and heard.
Who is the database for?
Our archive features professional creatives from diverse backgrounds who:
- Have experience working in multicultural environments
- Engage meaningfully with diverse communities
- Are Finnish returnees who have studied or worked abroad and wish to reconnect within a more multicultural professional network
Who can apply?
You can apply to join the GAP Creatives Database if you meet at least one of the following criteria:
- You are a foreign-born professional currently based in Finland
- You are a Finland-raised professional with a multicultural background
- You are a Finnish returnee who has studied or worked in the art and culture sector abroad
