Ieva Laube
Ieva Laube is a writer, researcher, and curator of education projects, interested in critical pedagogies and collective, participatory practices in learning. Her professional background has been shaped by the intertwining fields of publishing, non-formal education practices in the urban, social and art institutional contexts and project management in arts and culture. Ieva holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Latvia, followed by an intensive course in Design Writing, Research and Criticism at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. She has worked as the Education & Publishing Officer at Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art (RIBOCA), developing biennial’s education program and overseeing its publishing processes. She has developed education projects for EMMA museum, Finnish Museum of Photography and is currently working on a community project for Helsinki Design Museum. In addition to that, Ieva is now finishing her MA degree in Nordic Visual Studies and Art Education at Aalto University.
