Vahid is a Helsinki-based visual artist, photographer, and filmmaker, known professionally as Vahid Good. He began his creative journey after leaving behind a successful career as a lawyer. In search of deeper meaning, he traveled to Finland, where the natural landscape and light inspired a new artistic path and where he found a new home for art.
In addition to holding a master’s degree in law, Vahid studied film directing and photography. His portrait work is known for capturing mood and personality, often blending photography with painting to create carefully composed, color-rich images.
His work has been featured in solo and group exhibitions in Helsinki. Passionate about sustainability, he focuses on using natural light or subtle combinations with artificial light to craft honest, environmentally conscious visuals.
As a filmmaker, he has directed several short films and a documentary on the traditional handcraft “Rashti Doozi” in northern Iran. His latest short film “Shadows” was screened at the Outsider Art Festival in Helsinki and Vancouver. He is currently developing a new film project.
