Ivanda Jansone is a Helsinki-based visual artist working at the intersection of printmaking, drawing, and narrative visual structures. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the Academy of Fine Arts, University of the Arts Helsinki.
Jansone’s practice explores time and embodies perception through repetition, rhythm, and fragmented narrative forms. In recent years, she has focused on examining the relationship between fine art and comics, particularly how duration and parallel narratives can be constructed and perceived through visual means. Her work has been published in both Finnish and international anthologies and magazines, , as well as in her own short-story collection. Her works have been exhibited in few solo and group exhibitions in Finland and abroad. Jansone has been nominated for the Sarjakuva Finlandia Prize 2023 and was a finalist in the Best Book Design of the Year competition 2023. Her artistic practice has been supported by grants from the Finnish Cultural Foundation and the Arts Promotion Centre Finland. She is a member of the Finnish Printmakers’ Association, Kutikuti, and the Finnish Illustration Association.
