Gesa Piper is a German dance-artist and -pedagogue. She is active as a performer, teacher and choreographer within Finland eg. Memory MatterBog Stories as well as internationally eg. How do you fear?. She has taught in various programs at the University of the Arts Helsinki and coordinates a network for international artists TIAN.

Her artistic interest deals with embodied ecological intra-relationality, as well as ancestry. She mostly works in collaborative settings.

She has been based in Finland since 2011 where she did her MA in Dance Pedagogy at Teak. She holds a BA from the Dance Academy ArtEZ in Arnhem since 2008 and went through RAD classical ballet training since she was five years old. Other strong imprints in her performative and physical training are theater as a former member of the statt Theater Neumünster, Yoga and Shiatsu.
