I am Eka Teriina Vea Kosonen, a visual and community artist based in Kotka, Finland. Since 2009, I have specialized in mural art and community-driven projects that integrate local culture into visual expression. My work is driven by a passion for fostering cultural understanding, community engagement, and accessibility through art.

My creative practice is rooted in the belief that art has the power to bring people together. I often collaborate with communities in workshops and large-scale public art projects. Over the years, I have contributed to local cultural initiatives such as Kotka’s Harrastamisen Suomen malli and Kulttuuripolku programs, while also organizing independent projects like Luovuuden Silta (The Bridge of Creativity) and Joutomaa Fest.

Through my work, I aim to create inclusive spaces where people can connect with their surroundings and each other. My art celebrates the unique identity of communities while encouraging creative exploration and cultural appreciation.

As an active member of the Kotka Artists’ Association, I continue to advocate for integrating art into everyday life, enriching public spaces, and fostering meaningful connections through creativity.
