Heu Hsu is a sound artist based in Helsinki, experimenting with the possibilities of sonic narration in new forms. Her sound search across Japan took shape as a handcrafted book, Sound Chronicle. After a decade in Tokyo, Heu’s work has evolved into spatial compositions, sonic sculptures, and performances. She focuses on site-specific work and the relationships between sound, materiality, and cultural landscapes.
Her works have been presented at House of Text (FI), Craft Museum of Finland (FI), Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design (EE), Mutek (JP), Wave Field Synthesis Festival (NL), Electroacoustic Sound Theatre Birmingham (UK), National House in Ústí nad Labem (CZ), and Rewire Festival (NL).
