Alan, an interdisciplinary artist with a doctoral degree in atmospheric science, bridges the worlds of science and art, using performance art and data art to explore environmental systems and translate scientific phenomena into immersive, thought provoking experiences. In 2022, Alan participated in the You and I, You and Me workshop in Vilnius, Lithuania, investigating electricity as a medium for communication and environmental connections. That same year, his co-authored artwork was featured at the Data Art for Climate Action Conference in Graz, Austria, turning sea level data into soundscapes illustrating climate change. In 2024, his performance My Planetary Boundary was curated and exhibited in Vantaa, Finland, exploring human and non human interactions involving his personal issues and the planetary crisis. Continuing the performance, Alan performed My Inner Complexity in Vantaa, Finland, demonstrating the struggle of his personal anxiety and environmental change in the media of line and space. He was accepted to Flesh as Witness Art Residency in 2026 where he spent one month with Live Art Ireland for the performance The Two Gate Climbers, staging an encounter between a human body and climbing plants. Alan’s work often responds to specific landscapes and environmental contexts. His site sensitive and collaborative methods amplify dialogue between environmental and artistic practices.
