How does pension security work for artists in Finland? What should international artists know about earnings-related pensions, grants, self-employment insurance, and artist pension opportunities?
Globe Art Point invites artists and cultural workers to the first session of a three-part information series focused on pensions and long-term financial planning. The series aims to provide practical information, expert guidance, and hands-on support to help artists better understand their future financial security.
The opening session, Building Pension Security as an Artist in Finland, will be led by Briitta Kuokkanen, Legal Advisor at the Artists’ Association of Finland. The session will offer a practical overview of how artists can accumulate pension rights through their work and explore the pension systems and support structures available to artists living and working in Finland.
Whether you are at the beginning of your career or have been working in the arts for many years, understanding pension structures is an important part of building a sustainable professional future.
