Globe Art Point is seeking a motivated part-time Project Coordinator to help deliver the new GAP Svenska Mentorship 2026–2027 programme. Building on the experience of the past three editions of the GAP Peer-to-Peer Program and the AAA Mentorship Programme Blueprint for foreign-born creatives, the programme offers a new support and training model for emerging professionals from minority backgrounds in Finland’s arts and culture field.

The programme is designed to strengthen the career prospects of Swedish-speaking and foreign-born emerging artists who are building their professional lives in Finland in a language environment other than their first language. It promotes mutual learning between mentors and mentees while fostering peer support and long-term professional networks. Mentors will be experienced Swedish-speaking professionals from the arts and culture sector.

The open call for mentees will launch at the end of August 2026.

About the Role

The Project Coordinator will work closely with Globe Art Point’s Project Manager and Communications Specialist to support the successful delivery of the GAP Svenska Mentorship programme. The role combines coordination, stakeholder communication, participant support, and programme monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate programme activities in line with the AAA Mentorship Programme Blueprint and the background research carried out in spring 2026.
  • Coordinate the recruitment and matching of mentors and mentees, and serve as a key contact for programme partners and stakeholders.
  • Organise and deliver programme activities, including launch and closing events, institutional visits, and peer support meetings.
  • Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and support evaluation through check-ins, reporting, and the collection of feedback and assessment materials.

What We Expect

  • Previous experience in project coordination, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work independently, build strong relationships, and support participants in a structured and thoughtful way.
  • Knowledge of the arts and culture field in Finland, ideally with familiarity with the Swedish-speaking arts and culture sector.

Language and Working Style

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with mentors, mentees, and partner organisations.
  • Fluency in English, our working language, and good spoken and written Swedish; additional languages are an advantage.
  • A flexible and reliable working style, including willingness to occasionally work in the late afternoon, evening, or at weekend events when needed.

Availability

This is a part-time, fixed-term position based at our office in Kamppi, Helsinki, with the possibility of occasional remote work. Some meetings and events will take place in Uusimaa and may occasionally be scheduled in the late afternoon, evening, or at weekends.
