Rosa María, better known as Rosamaría Bolom, was born in 1977 in Mexico City. She received her BA in psychology from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana-Xochimilco in Mexico City. Her interest in psychology and art led her to combine both disciplines in her artistic work since 2000. She has been working with collectivity, otherness, identity, immigration, feminism, subjectivity and human rights through art, poetry and workshops to create a bridge for understanding. Since 2014, she has planned and conducted artistic workshops for children and
young people, with a focus on children’s rights, creativity and self-expression, Mexican culture and traditions, and the promotion of cardboard recycling through a pedagogically grounded
approach.
