The Arts Promotion Centre Taike together with Globe Art Point invite you to a two-day portfolio and presentation workshop. The workshop is organised for professional artists with diverse backgrounds who are living and working in Finland.

The workshop offers functional tools for presenting your own art, artistic work and practice. The workshop is mainly suitable for visual art professionals. We go through portfolio compilation and portfolio models, including the importance of online platforms, websites and social media, different text formats including artist statement and various presentation texts, as well as the importance of documentation in the age of social media.

Workshops are conducted in small groups. The working language is English.

The application is open to all artists who are interested in learning how to build a professional portfolio. Participation is free of charge but commitment to attend both workshops is necessary. This workshop has a small capacity so we will give priority to those artists who will express true need for attending this workshop. To apply for the workshop, please send us a short letter of motivation (max. 300 words) to info@globeartpoint.fi.

Application deadline is December 3rd, 2023.

Her extensive background in curating and art advisory has focus on strategic development for various international art initiatives. She is the founder of innovative curatorial models such as the Àsìkò Art School in Western Africa, the CPR – Curatorial Program for Research in the US and the CuMMA Master’s Degree programme at the Aalto University. She has curated exhibitions, biennials and events in over 30 countries, on six continents. Her doctoral dissertation in analytic philosophy, titled The Curatorial Épistémé, discusses the potential of Intellectual Sustainability and the Idea of Art as a meaning creating agency.
