‘DIASPORA’: A WINDOW EXHIBITION BY HASSAN ALKHATEB

Through these paintings, the artist spotlights the feelings of every person who had to go through an awful and rough migration experience in their life.

WORKS ON DISPLAY

A Family (90 x 59.5 cm), 2500 €
The sea represents family when all its members are with each other and they feel safe with each other. While the scattered triangles represent family members when the war affects them and forces them to be scattered all over this big world.

Departures (29 x 20 cm), 1500 €
Departures depicts the movement of refugees as they being forced to leave their homes due to the war conflict.

Migration and Hope (103 x 73 cm), 2000 €
The harshness of life is surrounding us always, in addition to those who are ready to exploit our weaknesses. Hope, represented by sunlight, provides us with the fuel to move forward.

Hassan Asad Alkhateb is a Syrian artist born in 1965. He graduated from the University of Damascus Department of Fine Art in 1988. Hassan currently resides in Espoo, Finland.

GAP WINDOW is a window exhibition project initiated by Globe Art Point in 2021. The concept was created for the members of GAP Creatives Database with an aim to provide a unique opportunity to exhibit and/or experiment with their own artistic work and ideas.
