Welcome to Morning Coffee at G.A.P – an informal event held on Thursday, 19th of August from 10 am to 12 pm in G.A.P’s premises in Kamppi and on Zoom.

For the next Morning Coffee at G.A.P, we are excited to introduce to you a film director, animator and screenwriter with a background in experimental film, theatre and collage painting Catarina Diehl.


Who is Catarina Diehl?

After completing her BA History of Art at Goldsmiths College she turned her focus towards filmmaking, working with the lab in London. She graduated with an MA Documentary Film in 2012 from the University of the Arts London. Catarina has worked on a wide variety of projects in recent years. Her directorial debut film ’Confessions of an angry Mother’ premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest in 2018 and screened at many prestigious film festivals. ’Cheating is good for you’ is her second short documentary about women’s emotional world.

Catarina will during the morning session talk about her artistic career and in particular, she will introduce and screen her short documentary movie ‘Confessions of an angry Mother (2018), 6 MIN. Watch the trailer here

The session will be participatory where the audience will be able to interact with the speaker, ask questions and discuss their work/art together with them.

Please note that due to significant increase in COVID-19 cases, the onsite participation will be monitored and only 10 people will be allowed to enter our premises unless the rules and regulations change. You can find us at Malminkatu 5, 00100, Helsinki. When you enter Malminkatu from Runeberginkatu/Kamppi metro station turn right, G.A.P is at the end of the street on the right side, located in a pink building. Our facilities are accessible on the street level, assistant dogs are welcome, however, please note that there is no accessible toilet in the office space.
