Frame Contemporary Art Finland (Frame), a contemporary art centre, has published the annual statistics on the operation of the first Finnish art galleries. Similar statistics have not been made before the art gallery field. The Artist Magazine picks up the art gallery statistics 2016 from an artist’s point of view, interesting facts about the contract and reimbursement practices of art galleries and book sales.

Frame sent a statistical survey 116 to the art gallery, of which a little over half of the 66 galleries answered. The survey included, among other things, the activities of galleries, contract and reimbursement practices, the economy and the business outlook in the sector. The statistics were released in October 2017.
